“The success of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) will be assessed not only by the ideas put forward, but also by the concrete steps taken in cities and state policies,” said Anacláudia Rossbach, Executive Director of the UN Habitat, at the official closing press conference of WUF13 in Baku.

Anacláudia Rossbach noted that 865 media representatives attended the event during the forum. This indicator reflects the urgency of the challenges facing cities and the growing need for solutions. According to her, cities need solutions and partners are responding to these challenges.

Anacláudia Rossbach, the results of the forum will support the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals, the Paris Agreement and the New Urban Agenda.

The Executive Director added that the next World Urban Forum will be held in the Mexican capital in 2028.
