About the Forum

 

The Third Azerbaijan National Urban Forum (NUFA3) was held from October 15-17, 2025, in Khankendi and Baku. The forum was organized by the State Committee for Urban Development and Architecture of the Republic of Azerbaijan jointly with the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat).

The event brought together approximately 400 participants from more than 60 countries and provided a platform for a comprehensive discussion of current challenges in sustainable urban development, including climate resilience, inclusive governance, innovative approaches to urban development, digital technologies, green building, and post-conflict and post-disaster urban recovery. The forum's program included thematic sessions, panel discussions, and an exchange of international experience aimed at advancing sustainable urban policies and practices. NUFA3 also served as an important preparatory stage for the upcoming WUF13—the 13th World Urban Forum, scheduled to take place in Baku in 2026.
