The Global Baku Forum is very important because it allows to discuss the possibilities of reforming multilateral system, Tatiana Valovaya, Director-General of the United Nations Office at Geneva, told AZERTAC.

According to her, in the times of lots of challenges, of many crises and crises which are interconnected, in the period when multilateral system is under strain just when we need it most, the platform like the Global Baku Forum is very, very important.

She said that the forum enables many politicians with extensive experience in international affairs to discuss strengthening international collaboration and finding solutions to the global challenges the humanity is facing.

Valovaya described the WUF13, scheduled to take place in Baku, as one of the most important events within the UN system.

According to her, the WUF is not only about the governments, but also a form of modern multilateral cooperation gathering the representatives of non-governmental organizations, civil society, and young people.
